Waking up in the beautiful mountains of Banos was not a bad way to start my 26th year of life! As promised nearly a year ago by Stu, I received the gift I requested; a coconut with a flower necklace wrapped around it (bless him) and a hammock with a view of the mountain range!

I am updating the start of this blog post whilst sat in a hammock with Stu’s legs flopped over me both drinking a Club beer with our new found friends – Cheers guys!
Finally we landed in Quito and to our surprise it was still pretty warm at 8pm, relieved to see our bags, we decided to jump in a taxi as this would have been so much quicker and stress free and by this time we just wanted a shower and clean clothes!
Yeah, that’s about as exciting as it gets at the moment I’m afraid…
After some strategic packing, my bag was just under the 23kg allowance of 22.9kg – would have had to throw some of Stu’s toiletries out if push came to shove! Somehow Stu’s bag was only 15kg – blatantly he will be carrying my bag!
